Picture turquoise lagoons, lush tropical landscapes, white-sand beaches, and days spent exploring some of the world's most beautiful islands.
The South Pacific offers all that and more, but choosing the right destination can make a big difference in your trip.
Tahiti: Your Gateway to French Polynesia
Tahiti is often the starting point for exploring French Polynesia. Beyond its role as an international gateway, the island offers dramatic volcanic scenery, local markets, black-sand beaches, and a vibrant connection to Polynesian culture.
It's a great place to begin your journey before continuing to other islands.
Bora Bora: The Iconic Island Escape
Known for its brilliant blue lagoon and dramatic Mount Otemanu, Bora Bora is one of the South Pacific's most recognizable destinations.
Overwater bungalows, luxurious resorts, snorkeling, and romantic sunset views make it especially appealing for honeymoons, anniversaries, and once-in-a-lifetime trips.
Fiji: Adventure and Island Hospitality
Fiji offers a different kind of island experience, combining beautiful beaches with a rich cultural heritage and opportunities for snorkeling, diving, and exploring beyond the resort.
With a variety of islands and accommodations, Fiji can appeal to couples, families, and travelers looking for anything from a relaxing beach vacation to an active tropical adventure.
The Cook Islands: A Slower Pace of Paradise

Alaska Cruise Season Is Approaching

A look at Mt. Denali
It's time to start thinking about Alaska!
Alaska cruise season brings opportunities to explore spectacular glaciers, spot wildlife, visit historic coastal communities, and experience some of North America's most dramatic scenery.
But choosing the right Alaska cruise involves more than selecting a ship.
Start With the Right Itinerary
Round-trip cruises from Seattle and Vancouver sailings offer different routes and experiences. Some itineraries emphasize popular coastal ports, while others offer additional glacier-viewing opportunities or different combinations of destinations.
Consider a Land-and-Sea Vacation
Want to experience more than the coastline? Combining a cruise with time exploring Alaska by land can add another dimension to your trip.
Depending on the itinerary, you may be able to visit places such as Denali National Park or explore Alaska's interior before or after your cruise.
Find the Right Cruise for You
Cruise lines differ in their onboard atmosphere, dining, excursions, and overall experience. Cabin selection, departure dates, and itinerary details can also make a meaningful difference.
Planning ahead gives you more time to compare options and find the right fit.
Thinking about Alaska in 2027? Now is a great time to start exploring your options.

A little Bit About My Last trip!

A look at my room with an Ocean View
I just got back from a little getaway to Waikiki, and I had the pleasure of staying at Ka Laʻi Waikiki Beach, a property within Hilton's LXR Hotels & Resorts collection.
From the moment I arrived, the experience was wonderful. The friendly staff greeted me, took care of my luggage, and welcomed me with a warm towel and a refreshing drink. It's those little touches that can make a hotel stay feel special right from the start!
Even better, I was able to check into my room around noon. The front desk team was incredibly helpful and took the time to walk me through the property's amenities and the benefits included with my stay.
The Little Extras That Make a Difference
Infinity Pool with a Poolside bar that you can order from!
One thing I really appreciated was how many amenities were included with the property. Guests have access to complimentary beach chairs, umbrellas, beach bags, and towels, making a day at the beach that much easier.
And when you're ready to spend some time at the hotel, the infinity pool is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the Hawaiian sunshine.
What I Learned About My Travel Style
A Bento box lunch that they serve on property!
One thing this trip reminded me of is that I like my accommodations to be part of the experience, not just somewhere to sleep at the end of the day.
I enjoy a property that offers something beyond the room itself, whether that's great service, thoughtful amenities, beautiful spaces to relax, or experiences that make the stay memorable. Ka Laʻi really delivered on that for me.
It's a good reminder that when planning a vacation, the hotel or resort can be just as much a part of the trip as the destination itself.
Frederick's Tip: When choosing a hotel, don't just look at the nightly rate. Take a closer look at what's included with your stay. Amenities, location, service, and the overall experience can make a real difference in your vacation.
